Thorn’s new MenloSoft SR luminaire now enables lighting schemes for display screen areas to be designed with good ceiling and wall illuminance ratio recommendations, using just one fitting type.
MenloSoft SR is a semi-recessed modular fluorescent with a suspended optic (only 82mm below the ceiling), designed to deliver an efficient light output (>60%) with excellent glare control. Light is directed onto the walls and ceiling, thus lifting the office appearance. The slim ‘butterfly’ shaped optic is offered with either a central louvre or diffuser, flanked by micro-perforated wings. As such it is ideally suited for the lighting of most office spaces. Energy efficiency is good too. The luminaire is supplied with 14 or 24W T16 lamps operated from either fixed output or digital dimming high frequency control gear. Standard 3 hour or SelfTest emergency options are also available.
No more hassle with installation and wiring. Instead the MenloSoft SR sits neatly in lay-in (exposed tee) ceilings, concealed fix or solid ceilings, with side arm brackets supplied. A GST socket delivers plug and play connectivity and the optic is hinged with magnetic fixings for tool-less, maintenance.
