As part of our mission to make energy efficient lighting easy, this year's Light+Building trade fair in Frankfurt saw us showcasing our latest products that deliver high levels of performance and efficiency while creating a comfortable environment.

A collection of the newest and best selling products for roads and tunnels, cityscapes, retail, industry and sports were on display. These included the prelaunch of R2L2 and Urba (road), Adelie Bollard (cityscape), HiPak Pro LED (industrial), Altis (sports) and many more.

The Suncyl columns which combine LED lanterns with solar, wind and hybrid power became the star of the show generating interest from visitors all around the world. Offering a smart and sustainable lighting solution, Suncyl is a range of solar, wind and hybrid poles. Beautifully crafted and ideal for areas without electric supply, the poles are combined with LEDs (2000 to 6000lm), high performance batteries and a centralised management system.

The Thorn team made a special warm welcome to the partners from France's Nord Thorn Energy Partnership (TEP) network. The Nord network contributed 20 projects in the 2013-14 TEP performance league table, securing the prize of a VIP package to Light+Building 2014.

Paul Stranks, Marketing Director, says: "Once again Light+Building was a success, attracting over 2000 registered visitors to the Thorn stand and we were delighted to welcome so many customers. The feedback was very positive with visitors excited by our new energy efficient luminaires and surprised by how easy our Smart City Experience is to use."
